Mission Statement

After years of engaging with the farmers and consumers of India, the FarmX team has identified some of the main issues of agricultural trade affecting farmers and consumers. The farmers are not at fault, and the customers aren't either. This is because even as customers pay rapidly increasing prices, the farmers remain poor and in debt. In most cases, the problems are:

• Overpriced agricultural inputs, which are of low quality
• Sellers of agricultural input stealing from farmers by giving the farmers lesser volume (in fertilisers, seeds, pesticides and so on) than they advertised and charged for.
• Agricultural produce being undervalued and bought at unfairly cheap rates from farmers
• The same produce being sold for inflated prices in the market to customers, leading to both the farmer and the customer being cheated.

Having seen these problems play out in all sectors of the agricultural economy, each problem has been addressed by the FarmX system.

On FarmX, only expert-verified sellers of high-quality agricultural input are selected to engage with farmers. We ensure fair prices and we make sure the farmer gets what he pays for. We make sure to source quality products from and provide input solutions, training, and best practises to the farmers themselves.

By sourcing agricultural produce from our extensive network of FPOs, PACS and farmers, we guarantee a fair, high price for the farmer. And because we only take a nominal fee for the maintenance of the platform, we do not inflate prices and offer a fair and competitive rate to the customer.

This is why FarmX is important. It is an end-to-end safety net for farmers and consumers to escape the worst issues plaguing the Indian agricultural market, and we have made it the mission of the platform to insulate both our farmers and our customers from its deep corruption and confusion.
